Calusa Model

If you’ve seen my “Hunting the Ancient Snakewood Bow” video then you are familiar with the Calusa model bow I killed the deer with. While that bow was made from a rare species of wood and currently unavailable for customer purchase, I can build replicas of those bows using the next best bow woods in Florida–  Elm & Hickory.  The Calusa bows are standard straight bows with inherent string follow and non reflexed tips inspired directly from the Native American bows of southern Florida. This is one of the most basic shapes of a primitive bow but it is tried and true to be successful in the field.  They have a slight arrow shelf but not much of one, to help preserve the accuracy of the build. These bows are included in my Lifetime series collection. See warranty information here.
