Description

Speed Goat Models are my newest models of osage bows. The fastest Primitive bows! These have the classic shape of my Aboriginal model bow but are backed with a pre-stretched rawhide. This enables the bow to safely be drawn further than an unbacked bow of the same length. This appeals to shooters that want a longer draw length but prefer a shorter bow themed after the design of a Native American Plains bow. For example, a normal Aboriginal model bow with a 28″ draw is typically 64-66 inches long. A Speed Goat model backed with rawhide is safely drawn 28″ with a much shorter length, sometimes as short as 56-58 inches.  By bending the wood further, it also stores more energy and makes for a faster shooting bow.  The Black Buck has the rawhide painted black with a white dot border, black grip, and antelope horn tip overlays. Of course you know that Gill’s Primitive Archery specializes in custom work. If you should want a different color scheme or pattern painted, different color grip or tips, or snakeskins added, all those are very much possible upon special request.  New beaver tail grips can also be upgraded for an extra $25.  They both come standard with my new turquoise arrowhead makers mark.  These bows are standard priced at $850  plus S&H       (upgrades to snake skin or tribal painting extra)  These bows are part of my Lifetime Series Collection.
