Description
Our Master Hunter, River Cane arrows are the BEST primitive arrow on the market! Hand spined and built by the best in the business. Customers are exceptionally happy and return for more year after year. Satisfaction guaranteed.
These are a top tier, primitive, handmade river cane arrows. It is a tremendous amount of work building phenomenal arrows from scratch, but we are here to make sure you get the best primitive arrows available anywhere. They are selfnocked and wrapped with real sinew. The fletchings are cut from wild turkey feathers. These are designed more for the serious hunter that wants the quietest arrow possible and for someone who wants an authentic looking, Native American 3 fletch arrow.
The shafts are River cane, painstakingly straightened and sorted. They are spined in 5# ranges, ie” 35-40#, 40-45#, 45-50″, etc..
The standard lengths are 30″ long from the base of point to the inside of the nock. I can cut them to whatever length you desire, but I prefer the leave them long to keep the weights up to a satisfactory hunting weight (400+ grains)
Note: If you order custom length arrows under 30″ long, they cannot be returned if you’ve chosen the wrong spine for your bow, so be sure of your needed spine, or stick with the standard length arrows. It never hurts to have a long arrow!
They COME standard WITH field points included– that you may want to strategically choose to mirror your required stone point weight. These arrows are not weight matched, and will typically vary in weight by about 50 grains total. (Not enough to notice when shooting at standard distances, 5- 20 yards) (Not sure about that?? watch my video on shooting arrows of different weights. click here)
The ends are tapered to fit the glue on field points, but you can remove the field points and replace with glue on broadheads when it is time to hunt.
Stone hunting points can also be cut and hafted to these arrows. If you buy our arrows and my stone points, you can either choose to haft them yourself, or have us do them for you (service fee applies)
The point ends of my arrows are plugged solid to make them stronger. This also adds about 25 grains on average to the end of the arrow.
At the end of the day, these river cane arrows are my go-to hunting arrows that have taken everything from rabbits on up to Bison.
You can also choose to have the ends left Blunt if you choose to haft your own points, or use the raw blunted ends for rabbit/squirrel hunting like we do!
