Kayce’s Testimony ~
Several years ago, I was approaching the age of 40 and was quite depressed about where my life was at the time. I had spent the last 20 years jumping between being a stay-at-home mom and a bartender, never believing that I would ever amount to anything successful. Being a businesswoman wasn’t something I had envisioned in my future. However, all of this changed with one conversation.
I met Ryan several years ago due to mutual interests. We were both in the primitive community and enjoyed archaeological experimentation. After deciding to do a project together, I flew to Florida to stay with Ryan and his family and to work on our study. One evening, we were sitting around the fire, and Ryan asked me what I wanted to do with my life as far as my career. He mentioned that I had many different skills to offer, but asked me which one I thought I had the most experience in to provide as a business. After thinking about it for a moment, I replied that traditional medicine and natural healing were my true gifts. This was what I felt my purpose was for the world, but at the time, I never thought I could make it a profitable career. I said to Ryan, “I would love to sell my medicine, but who wants to buy dandelion greens when they can find them in their own yard!”
He looked at me with a very serious face and said, “Kayce, I make over $300,000 a year selling sticks and rocks from my own backyard. If I can build a successful career from sticks and rocks, you can do it with dandelion greens.”
That was a turning point in my life that literally changed it forever. Up until then, any dreams I ever had were always shattered by self-sabotaging beliefs and negative outside influences. But here I was, sitting there with someone who was living their dream, fulfilling their purpose, doing what they loved, all while making money! I knew in that moment I could do this too! Over the next several months, Ryan coached me on business. The first and most important thing he shared was how to do the math. As someone who always struggled in math, putting dollar signs behind it made it surprisingly simple. Through math, he helped me understand profit and loss, the concept of time being money, and what is worth it and what isn’t. Without proper math, you will never become a successful business because numbers don’t lie.
After I started to understand the math, Ryan began to share other tips and tricks of the trade, such as subtle advertising ideas. He would give me ideas to post and tell me things to say that would sell products. And honestly, to my surprise, everything he said to do worked, and within a short amount of time, the sales were rolling in! During this time, Ryan would also send me videos of motivational speakers who not only talked about bettering your business, but also bettering yourself as a person. Listening to these people talk about their life and business, with such positivity, really helped to change my own outlook on life and money. I started to see that money wasn’t what made people “bad”, and you didn’t have to be a greedy person to get it either. A quote from Jim Rohn always stood out to me when he said, “Having money doesn’t make you wealthy, having class does.” What he meant by this was good character. These inspirational videos greatly helped my mindset, especially when things would get tough. Staying motivated and determined to succeed isn’t always easy, so a positive mindset becomes your only saving grace.
About six months into business, I made a product that became popular and sold out within a few days. I was disappointed that I didn’t have more made, as I could easily see I was missing out on a lot of sales. Ryan again offered his advice, “Don’t ever sell out. Do what you have to do now to invest in that infrastructure. Spend the money now to make more money later. Build it and they will come. This again became a turning point for me in business. I realized how important it was to have that infrastructure built.
During the first two years of business, I was still working at my local bar. This gave me the financial ability to start building that infrastructure that was so desperately needed if I wanted to grow as a business. Slowly but surely, I began to develop my product line, making sure I would NEVER sell out again. In less than three years from the day I had that conversation with Ryan, my product line has grown into a several 6-figure business, and continues to grow as we speak. I offer over 65 products, free education, have written a book, and am now working on courses. Building that sustainable infrastructure is never-ending.
Now, I cannot say that this journey has been easy, and it certainly has taken a lot of discipline, determination, and courage. But one thing I can tell you, as I sit back and look over the life I’ve built for myself, every bit of it has been worth it. And all it took was one person like Ryan to not only believe in me but to push me to see my true potential that I never knew was even there. I will always be in debt to him as the one person who helped me become a millionaire, as I’m certainly on my way!
