The HuntPrimitive Experience is a Primitive/Traditional Bow Hunting pursuit with Ryan Gill.
The hunt takes place on an 1800 acre ranch in Inglis Florida. All lodging and meals are provided at their beautiful hunting lodge. These experiences will put you on the ground, side by side, with Ryan as you stalk through the Florida woodlands, swamps, and palmettos in search of wild hogs. These hunts will be very similar to the multiple spot and stalk hog hunting videos on the HuntPrimitive YouTube Channel. There is a guaranteed opportunity! It is typically an action packed hunt! However, it is certainly hunting so there is no guarantee of success. Success is up to the stalker and shooter!
We can accommodate experienced or novice hunters. No experience is necessary (but it certainly helps for success!). The cost of the hunt includes lodging for 2 nights and all meals at the ranch (2.5 day hunt). Included in the price (per hunter) is either 2 meat hogs or 1 trophy (boar with tusks showing) (recovered or not). Additional hogs/other animals are available if desired. (gratuity for ranch staff not included)
Bring your own gear, or purchase ours. We have Gear Sets available that include an HT Primitive bow, a dozen bamboo arrows (6 with stone points) and a quiver.
This is a primitive/traditional bow hunting experience only. Ryan does not accommodate hunting with compounds, crossbows, or firearms in the HuntPrimitive Experience.
Bring a cooler for meat, your clothes, personal items and a Great attitude! The theme of the hunt is “fun” but we’ll be working very hard, walking a lot of miles, to get you opportunities for shots!
What does a hunt typically look like? We arrive around 1pm at the ranch lodge, sign paperwork, meet and great, go over a little gear, and head right out to hunt. After the evening’s adventures we’ll return to the beautiful cypress lodge where a wonderful meal will be prepared and served. In the morning, we will have a quick continental-style breakfast and immediately hit the woods. We typically adventure around, checking many areas for hogs. We’ll return for lunch and hunters will have the choice to either take short break or take a nap afterwards, or head right back out and continue hunting. (We typically can get into good hunting all day if desired. ) Again, after the evening’s adventures, we’ll return for dinner and repeat the process the following day. The last day of the hunt, lunch will be provided, and hunters can pack up and head home at their leisure or continue to hunt until the evening (dinner is not provided the last evening).
How to book? This will be entirely your (and your friend’s) adventure! There may be other hunters at the ranch hunting with other guides, however you or your party will be the only ones on the HuntPrimitive Experience with Ryan. You can book and pay for the hunt right here on this page. After purchasing, we will reach out to you within a couple of days and set up dates for your Experience.
